Mastitis Report
You can identify cows suspected as having clinical mastitis by monitoring Mastitis alerts on the dashboard (refreshed every hour).
Clinical mastitis is detected according to production decreases and changes in milk conductivity. (For farms with AfiLab, changes in lactose can help improve detection).
Click Mastitis on the dashboard to open the Suspected Clinical Mastitis report.
Understand Suspected Mastitis Report
Use the report to identify deviations that exceeded the thresholds and triggered the cow's inclusion in the report.
Note: Values displayed in color (either Blue, Red or Orange) indicate parameters that have exceeded predefined thresholds.

Description |
---|---|
Daily yield |
Displays the cow's milk production for the completed milking sessions in the last 24 hours. |
Daily Avg. yield |
Displays the cow's daily average milk production for the last 10 days. |
Daily yield (%) |
Displays the cow's average milk yield deviation (in percentage) over the past 10 days. |
Production rate (%) |
Displays the cow's milk deviation rate for each milking session in the last 24 hours. |
Conductivity (%) |
Displays the cow's conductivity deviation for each milking session in the last 24 hours. |
Lactose dev. (%) |
Displays the cow's lactose deviation for each milking session in the last 24 hours. |
Understand the Graph
Click a specific row in the Detailed Report to open the animal's behavior deviations for the last 3 days, in a graph view.
Note: On the Activity Indicator axis, 0 represents average standard eating, rumination and activity behavior for the specific animal. Graph legends above 0 indicate above average amount of time spent eating/ruminating/activity, while graph legends that dip below 0 indicate a decrease in the average amount of time spent on the behavior.
The graph displays hourly deviations in the cow's standard eating, rumination and activity behavior, and her milk production. Open the Legend dialog box, then click one of the legend options to view deviations to that behavior.
The example below displays decreases in her activity, further confirmation she may be unwell.
